1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BizMatch website, quizzes, reports, member dashboard, and related content (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. What the Service is (and is not)

BizMatch provides educational research: quiz-based matching, generated reports, courses, and related content designed to help you evaluate business opportunities. All figures in the Service — including startup costs, revenue ranges, market statistics, and fit scores — are estimates provided for educational purposes.

The Service is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and no content in the Service constitutes a recommendation to buy any business, sign any franchise agreement, take on debt, leave employment, or make any other financial decision. Business outcomes vary widely; many businesses fail. You are solely responsible for your decisions, and you should consult licensed professionals (attorney, CPA, financial advisor) before making significant financial commitments.

3. Accounts and access

Access to member features uses email-based sign-in links. You are responsible for maintaining control of your email account; anyone with access to your email may be able to access your membership. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

You agree to provide accurate information, including a valid email address. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the Service.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Paid membership is offered on recurring subscription plans (such as monthly, quarterly, or annual) at the prices shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.

You can cancel anytime from your dashboard or by emailing support. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues through the end of the period you have paid for. Except where required by law or stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable — however, if something is wrong with your purchase, contact us within 14 days and we will work to make it right.

We may change subscription pricing with notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods, not the one you have already paid for.

5. Your content and license to us

You retain ownership of the information you submit (such as quiz answers). You grant us a license to use that information to operate the Service — including generating your scores and reports (which may involve processing by third-party AI providers), providing customer support, and improving our matching systems.

We may use aggregated, de-identified data (never your name or email) to improve the Service and publish insights.

6. Our content and your license from us

The Service — including reports, courses, checklists, text, design, and software — is owned by BizMatch or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service and your reports for your own business planning. You may not resell, republish, scrape, or redistribute Service content without our written permission.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or interfere with the Service; attempt to access other users’ data; use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content; submit unlawful or harmful content; or use the Service to build a competing dataset or product.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service references third-party tools, businesses, and websites (for example, software tools in reports and guides). We are not responsible for third-party products or sites, and a mention is not an endorsement or a guarantee. Unless expressly disclosed, we do not receive placement fees for the businesses or franchises scored in our results.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REPORTS OR ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE OR THAT ANY BUSINESS WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIZMATCH AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR DECISIONS MADE IN RELIANCE ON IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, fraud, or abuse. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including licenses to submitted data, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, cancel and discontinue use.

13. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which BizMatch is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state unless applicable law requires otherwise.
