1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information BizMatch (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website, quizzes, reports, and membership, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service you consent to this policy.

2. Information we collect

  • ▸Quiz responses: your answers, including open-text answers and your zip code. These are the raw material of your scores and report.
  • ▸Contact information: your email address when you complete a quiz, subscribe, or contact support.
  • ▸Billing information: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive subscription status and limited transaction metadata — never your full card number.
  • ▸Usage data: standard technical logs (pages viewed, approximate timing, browser type) used for security and improving the Service.
  • ▸Local storage: quiz progress is saved in your browser so a refresh doesn't lose your answers.

3. How we use your information

  • ▸To generate your matches and your personalized report — including processing your answers with third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic) that operate under their own data protections.
  • ▸To operate your membership: sign-in links, receipts, report delivery, and support.
  • ▸To send you relevant emails about your results and membership, including follow-ups if you haven't subscribed. Every marketing email includes a way to opt out, and we honor opt-outs promptly.
  • ▸To improve the matching engine and our content, including in aggregated, de-identified form.
  • ▸To protect the Service: fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under their own contractual and legal obligations:

  • ▸Supabase — database hosting for quiz responses, accounts, and reports
  • ▸Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
  • ▸Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery
  • ▸Anthropic — AI processing used to generate your personalized report
  • ▸Netlify — website hosting and infrastructure

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage: a session cookie to keep members signed in, and local storage to preserve quiz progress. We do not run third-party advertising cookies on the Service. If that changes, this policy and any required consent flows will change first.

6. Data retention

We keep quiz responses and reports while your account is active so your dashboard keeps working, and for a reasonable period afterward for support, legal, and audit purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Choices), and we will delete personal information not required for legal or accounting obligations.

7. Your choices and rights

  • ▸Access or export: email us and we'll provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • ▸Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information (or simply retake the quiz — reports use your latest answers).
  • ▸Deletion: ask us to delete your data; we'll confirm when complete.
  • ▸Email opt-out: use the unsubscribe mechanism in any marketing email, or reply asking to be removed. Transactional emails (receipts, sign-in links) continue while you have an account.
  • ▸Depending on your state or country (including under the CCPA/CPRA and GDPR where applicable), you may have additional statutory rights — we honor verified requests regardless of where you live.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage with our providers, access controls on production data, and single-use sign-in links instead of stored passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Children

The Service is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes and contact

We'll post any changes to this policy here with an updated date; material changes will be flagged more prominently.
